What to Expect
At Children’s Behavioral Services, we know that you want to be an active parent to ensure your child reaches their full potential. To do that, you need early detection of developmental delays and/or autism spectrum disorders. The problem is not knowing where to start or what to do after your child receives a diagnosis, which makes you feel overwhelmed and frustrated. We believe that through our specialized therapies, children with developmental delays, deficits, and other unique needs can thrive more independently and confidently as they carry out tasks at home and in school. We understand that every child has different needs, challenges, and goals, which is why our certified therapists complete individualized assessments for each new patient and develop a treatment plan that aims to meet your child's goals and needs.
Below is a "roadmap" illustrating how we do it. Here is the process listed: First, we receive a referral from you (the parent) or the physician. Second, we provide a comprehensive intake application to gather vital information necessary to begin service. Third, we coordinate with your insurance company to guarantee their financial coverage for services designed for your child. Fourth, our licensed therapists or certified behavior analysts will complete an assessment of your child’s strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in behavior and skills. Fifth, we verify the treatment plan with your insurance to ensure our plan-of-care meets the coverage criteria. Finally, we schedule services to start for your child.
